YSRCP Decision To Field BCs In 2019 Elections Historic

Anantapur:YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MP candidate from Anantapur Lok Sabha constituency Talari Rangaiah called the preference given to the individuals from BCs to contest in the elections as a welcome move.
He added that Leader of the Opposition Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was following in the footsteps of Ambedkar and Jyothi Rao Phule, who fought for the upliftment of the weaker sections of the society. Meanwhile, another MP ticket from Hindupur in the district is assigned to Gorantla Madhav. From Assembly segments of Kalyandurg to Usha Sricharan, Penukonda to Shankar Narayan are contesting on YSRCP tickets.
It is reported that people of the district have expressed their joy as YS Jagan decided to field BCs from the district. The masses are of the opinion that in the past five years, TDP supremo Chandrababu’s rule had led to degradation of the BCs and YS Jagan alone can alleviate their suffering with Navaratnalu along with BC declaration.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that TDP which boasts of being a BC party had not offered seats to people from backward sections of the society. As YS Jagan pointed out the ruling party is showing non-BCs as members of BC communities. In Anantapur district, Boya community a part of the BCs, is present in large numbers and Rangaiah hails from that community. Another candidate Madhav is from Kuruba, a prominent community in the district. With this move, YS Jagan has yet again proved that he is committed to the upliftment of the backward classes. Both the candidates are fresh faces to politics and have worked in the Chandrababu government. Rangaiah and Madhav came under pressure from the government when they questioned the corruption taking place under TDP.
