YS Jagan Wave Will Sweep Across AP In 2019 Lok Sabha Polls

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy - Sakshi Post

YSRCP led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is out to sweep the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh, bagging 20 out of 25 seats in the state. The TDP could end up with 5 seats at best. These are the results of a Republic C-Voter Survey conducted in Andhra Pradesh.

However, the situation in Telangana appears to be vastly different. Of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, the TRS could end up with less than half the total number with about 7 while the grand alliance or Mahakutami comprising Congress, TDP, CPM, CPI and TJS and others would nose ahead with 8. The BJP and the AIMIM are likely to get a seat each, according to the survey which was released under the name of National Approval Ratings released yesterday. It also stated that the NDA would form the next government at the Centre with a simple majority. And that the UPA under the leadership of the Congress would improve on its previous performance. The UPA would have more than a 100 seats to its credit this time around, the survey predicted.

The C Voter Survey further foresaid that Kerala voters would be skeptical of the BJP in view of its reluctance to step forward with relief during the Kerala floods. Similarly, the Akhilesh-Mayawati combine may hurt the BJP to a fair extent, it predicted.

Significantly for Andhra Pradesh, the YSRCP which had won 8 seats in 2014 will leap frog to 20 seats knocking Chandrababu Naidu off his high perch in terms of the TDP's tally of seats. The ruling party in AP would be shrunk in numbers to 5 in the lower house of parliament.

There is a significant vote share when it comes to the YSRCP which is clearly ahead with 41.2% and the TDP with 31.2%. The BJp stands in the third position with 11.3% which is not a bad vote share considering the whiplash of discontent the party has faced across the state after it backtracked in popular perception on many of its electoral promises of 2014. The Congress is a straggler is among all the important parties with 9.3% of the vote share.

In Telangana, the TRS under the leadership of KCR is expected to get a vote share of 30.40% while the grand alliance led my Congress would get 32.2%. The BJP's share would be around 19% while the AIMIM is expected to get 3.9% of the total vote share.
