Chandrababu To Be Ousted After Sankranti: YV Subba Reddy

Prakasam: Senior YSR Congress party (YSRCP) leader and former MP YV Subba Reddy said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was incapable of completing the project works of Veligonda Irrigation project. Speaking on the occasion of the successful completion of his padayatra here at Veligonda tunnel today, the leader said that over 70 per cent of the Veligonda project works were finished during the rule of late Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy (YSR). Adding that Chandrababu could not finish just 30 per cent of the works, Subba Reddy questioned whether the State government was successful in eradicating the harmful effects of Fluoride on people's health. He criticized Chandrababu saying that his promise of making the State drought-free was a farce.

Subba Reddy said that Chandrababu Naidu was cheating the farmers by saying that the project would be finished before the Sankranti festival, while even the foundation and the Head Regulator works have not been finished yet. He added that he carried out the padayatra to create awareness on Chandrababu's lies. The YSRCP leader commented that the people of the State would oust Chandrababu after Sankranti.

Over a span of 14 days, YV Subba Reddy walked a distance of 207 kms, all the way from Kanigiri town in the district to the Veligonda tunnel. Former MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, senior leaders Parthasarathi and Balineni Srinivas Reddy attended the closing ceremony of the padayatra.

Senior YSRCP leader and former MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy said that Chandrababu had a history of cheating beginning with his father-in-law, late Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. Demanding that the State government complete the remaining project works, he said that Chandrababu never bothered about the welfare of the farmers, even in his previous term as a CM.

Mekapati said that if Dr YSR was alive, the Veligonda project would have long been completed. Addressing the people in the meeting, he said that Chandrababu will face the music of his deeds in the upcoming elections.

YSRCP leader Balineni Srinivas Reddy observed that Prakasam district underwent rapid development during Rajanna Rajyam. He added that all aspects of governance were corrupt in Chandrababu's rule.
