YSR Congress party members are all set to move a no-confidence motion againt the BJP-led NDA government in Lok Sabha Today. It may be recalled that YSRCP MP YV Subba Reddy had already served the no-trust notice to the Lok Sabha General Secretary, Sneha Latha Srivastava last Thursday.

Bowing down to pressure and fearing the rising popularity of the AP Leader of Opposition, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu too sent a notice about moving a no-trust vote after politburo meeting with TDP members. This was a U-turn on the part of Chandrababu as he first said his party would support the YSRCP's no confidence move against the Centre in the Parliament.
Despite the AP chief minister deciding to move a separate motion, YS Jagan said it doesn't matter who moved the motion or whose notice was considered as long as it benefitted the state. He also emphasized the fact that for YSRCP, the interest of AP and its people was paramount.
For YSRCP, interest of AP & its people is paramount, & above any political upmanship. Even if YSRCP moved the No Confidence Motion first, it's immaterial whose No Confidence Motion is taken. What matters is that the rights of the people of AP is ensured and the state gets the SCS! — YS Jagan Mohan Reddy (@ysjagan) March 16, 2018
However, the no confidence motion did not happen on Friday as chaotic scenes ruled the House which was adjourned following uproar.Speaker Sumitra Mahajan mentioned that she had recieved the YSRCP notice of no-trust in the council of ministers. However, she asserted that she cannot allow that to happen unless there is order in the House.Today, the YSRCP will move the no-confidence motion against the centre in the Lower House.
It's worth mentioning here that YSRCP MP YV Subba Reddy also met leaders from different political parties, including Congress' Mallikarjun Kharge & CPIM's Sitaram Yechury & gave them Jagan Mohan Reddy's letter seeking their support for the no-confidence motion to be moved by YSRCP in Lok Sabha.
Stay tuned for updates.
