Vijay Deverakonda Latest Movie Update
Hyderabad: Tollywood sensation Vijay Deverakonda is on a purple patch what with him being flooded by film offers after his Arjun Reddy outing. Remember we told you about his Tamil debut flick with filmmaker Anand Shankar? The latest buzz is that it’s a romantic film.
The actor while talking to an online portal revealed the genre of the film.The film is said to be a bilingual—to be made in Tamil and Telugu. The details of the cast and crew are yet to be known for this untitled flick.
Director Anand Shankar’s last film was Irumugan starring Chiyaan Vikram which was a big hit. When asked how and why he picked Deverakonda, the maker said, “I’ve been thinking of exploring opportunities in Telugu industry. When I pitched this story to producer Gnanavel Raja, he suggested that we take it to Vijay and everything just fell in place.”
Interestingly, Vijay’s two films Arjun Reddy and Pelli Choopulu will be remade in Tamil. Arjun Reddy is titled Varma in Tamil and will be directed by much acclaimed director Bala. The film will mark the debut of Vikram’s son Dhruv and coincidently, Bala also launched Vikram. Bala’s last film Naachiyaar has been well received at the box office and actress Jyothika has been appreciated for her performance.
On the professional front, Vijay would be seen in Taxiwala releasing on May 18. He would also be seen in a film funded by the big production house Geeta Arts, and doing a cameo in the most awaited film Mahanati.
