TSBIE For Third Party Re-verification Of Inter Results

Hyderabad: The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education said that processing of results of re-verification would be done simultaneously by an independent IT agency along with the Globearena Technologies Pvt Ltd, which was already given the task.

This decision has been taken according to the recommendations of the three-member committee of experts which had submitted a report on the developments following announcement of results on April 18.

BIE Secretary D Ashok announced that the responsibility to select an independent agency was entrusted to Telangana State Technological Services (TSTS).

Meanwhile, opposition parties are demanding that the education minister G Jagadeesh Reddy should be sacked and suspend the BIE secretary, D Ashok. They are also seeking that the families of students who allegedly committed suicide upset over the results, be given compensation.

The Telangana High Court has directed the state’s education department to complete the revaluation of marks of over three lakh students who failed in the Intermediate Board exam and submit its report to it by May 8. The court was hearing a petition filed by NGO Balala Hakkula Sangham on the discrepancies in the results declared. More than 25 students have ended their lives since the declaration of results on April 18.
