TDP neglecting irrigation schemes - Sakshi Post

Gajuladinne (Kurnool dist): Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has criticized the TDP Government for neglecting the irrigation projects and drinking water needs of the people.

Addressing a gathering here on Wednesday, he recalled how YSR, on hearing the plight of the people of Dhone assembly constituency, has sanction Rs 52 crores and brought drinking water through a pipeline to quench the thirst of over 50,000 people. It was the year 2008 and a pot of water was selling at Rs 2. On hearing the plight YSR has immediately sanctioned the amount, which made him a leader of masses.

There were Chief Ministers who had come to this place earlier but no one had taken any initiative. The Gajuladinne project is aimed at providing drinking water to the people of the Dhone assembly constituency, was planned in 2008 and is nearing completion.“There could be others who stake claim even for works they have done nothing during their term but will take credit of the good work done by YSR. This apart getting water to the Venkatapuram cheruvu from Handri Neeva is not a big issue. But the Chief Minister and the local ministers are not concerned. If the State fails to get the water, YSRCP will do it after coming to power in the next term" He said.
