Nellore: Expressing concerns over the plight of unemployed youths in the State, YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that jobs can’t be created unless we get Special Category Status. YS Jagan has called youth and students to go out and fight for the special status for AP as the chief minister Chandrababu Naidu totally compromised on the issue.

Commencing Yuvabheri programme in Nellore on Thursday morning, YS Jagan said his party will not rest until it secures Special Status to AP.
Slamming Chandrababu Naidu for his false promises, YS Jagan said: “During election campaign, TDP gave a slogan of bring back Babu to get jobs. But, now people are losing jobs. About 1.42 lakh vacancies are in the state. I question Naidu over his promise on one job per family. Unemployees preparing for APPSC exams for years. Poor parents have taken hand loans at 2 percent monthly interest and sending them to sons, who’re studying in the city. Why so far not APPSC not conducted any recruitment. At the time of bifurcation, Naidu assured of filling 1.42 lakh jobs. Unemployees have been waiting for jobs. Naidu has also promised Rs2,000 unemployee stipend per each unemployed youth if not job is not given. What happened to this assurance.”

AP lost city like Hyderabad after bifurcation. 98 percent of IT jobs are in Hyderabad, 70 percent of manufacturing jobs in Hyderabad. It took 60 years for Hyderabad development. As compensation of losing Hyderabad, Special Status assurance was assured in AP Reorganization Act. BJP in opposition demanded for 10 years as then ruling Congress assured status for five years. After bifurcation, during election campaign, BJP and TDP have mentioned special status for 10 years in their manifestos. After the elections, BJP denied its assurance in Parliament. its sham on its part, criticized YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Highlighting the importance of Special Status, YS Jagan said that new jobs can be generated if only AP gets special status.

Elaborating on the two major benefits from Special Status, YS Jagan said: “Centre gives 90 percent grant if we get special status. We have to repay only 10 percent. if not, we get only 30 pecent grant only and we have to repay 70 percent. Second major benefit is industrial incentive. We get 100 percent exemption of I-T, Excice duty for industrial units, 50 percent subsidy in power tariff. transport cost on industrial products made in AP will also be reimbursed by the Centre.”

If we get special status, Naidu doesn’t need to travell overseas for investments. Naidu need not go to Singapore, China, Japan, Russia and America.
Businessmen from other states also will come to AP. overseas investment will flow into the state. Lakhs of crore rupees investments into industry and this will create lakhs of jobs for the youth.
instead of no vacancy, we’ll see wanted boards in the state. Naidu purposefully diluting the special status issue it’s very painful. Modi and Naidu assured status for 10 years, but now deniying.

“Naidu was booked in cash for vote for luring MLCs in Telangana. He was caught with video and audio tapes. Same day he lost voice over special status. Naidu fears that CBI probe in thsi case if he pressurizes Modi. If you’re committed on special status, give an ultimatum to Modi and demand special status within one month. Once he said special status was panacea for AP, now trying to dilute the issue,” criticizes YS Jagan.
