“Sons of ruling party MLAs have become rapists”

Visakhapatnam: YSR Congress party MLA RK Roja criticised Andhra Pradesh government for presenting meagre allocations in 2016-17 fiscal budget on Wednesday.

The actor-turned-politician spoke to mediapersons on the presentation of the AP budget on Wednesday on the sidelines of the Women’s Day celebrations in Visakhapatnam. Roja faulted ruling party for delivering the budget speech in English rather than in Telugu which everyone is conversant with.

It was just a verbose mix of sentences with economical terms and figures; she said and added that even a single rupee was not allocated for women’s welfare in the budget. The ulterior motive behind delivering the budget speech in English in the House was to create confusion among the opposition and people, she alleged.

Roja, who was suspended from attending assembly sessions for one year, ridiculed the AP CM Chandrababu Naidu by dubbing him as ‘Cheating Chief Minister’. She also alleged that the sons of ruling TDP MLAs were becoming rapists saying the situation would have been different had the CM and TDP chief was strict to his party leaders.
