Rajinikanths blockbuster film Sivaji: The Boss is now a 3D treat to his fans. The movie’s new trailer is out and the film is expected to release post September in three languages: Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

Rajinikanth was himself present at the launch of the film’s trailer on August 13 in Chennai. However, the conversion of the film to 3D wasn’t planned by the superstar. The producers AVM kept it a big secret and Rajini was taken by surprise when he was shown the film three weeks ago.
At the launch of the trailer, Rajini Sir said, “3D is the future... It’s practically difficult to make a 3D film in a regional market; to put up huge sets and shoot. So we thought of doing an animated 3D film.” In fact, Rajinikanth’s next Kochadaiyaan starring Deepika Padukone is also in 3D.
It took almost one year to achieve the feat of turning the 2D Sivaji into 3D. According to the producers, 400 people worked in three shifts to make this possible and the conversion has come out really well. Now a big release is planned for the movie.
Rajini in Sivaji - 3D would be shown on maximum screens; it’s like carpet bombing to reach out to a large audience in one go, claim the makers. So, the Rajini fans, be ready for the stylish coin-flipping Boss, and watch his signature dance moves and antics in 3D.
Sivaji is a 2007 Tamil political thriller film directed by S. Shankar and produced by AVM Productions. Rajinikanth and Shriya Saran played the lead roles, while AR Rahman composed the music.
