Submitted Notice on SCS in Rajya Sabha: Vijayasai Reddy

YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy - Sakshi Post

New Delhi: YSR Congress Party Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy said that the party had submitted notice on Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh and on promises made in AP Reorganisation Act in the Upper House of Parliament today. He said these would come for discussion in this week.

Speaking to media here today, the senior YSRCP leader and MP once again reiterated that TDP was not sincere in achieving SCS to AP. He reminded media persons that it was on the request of AP Chief Minister N Chandrbabu Naidu that the Central government had released a financial package to the state and the TDP government had even passed a motion of thanks in assembly. "Did Chandrababu withdraw the motion of thanks?" he asked. He remarked how the AP CM could pass such a motion, and wondered whether it was only to accept the package legally.

Vijayasai Reddy said if the package was given legal status then filing a petition in High Court was also a drama. He demanded that the TDP government should file a case under article 300. He suggested that the state government should work for the welfare of the state. Chandrababu's 40 years of political experience has been of no help. He said henceforth the AP CM should stop all these political dramas.

The YSRCP leader said along with BJP, TDP and Congress have cheated the state. He reminded the media that Chandrababu was instrumental in letting Kiran Kumar Reddy government survive. Just to hold on to power, the former Chief Minister had compromised on the state's welfare. It was unfortunate that Kiran Kumar Reddy was speaking about the promises made during the state bifurcation, he said and added that YSRCP would support the party which would accord SCS to AP.
