Nara Lokesh Puts His Foot In Mouth, Again!

Andhra Pradesh IT and Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh - Sakshi Post

Kurnool: Telugu Desam Party general secretary and Andhra Pradesh IT and Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh, who is often trolled on social media for his embarrassing slip of tongue episodes at public meetings once again became a subject of ridicule following his latest comments. While addressing a meeting in Brahmanakotkur Village of Nandikotkur Mandal in the District, the AP minister fumbled several times during his speech.

Former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was instrumental in making Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, he said, drawing laughter from the crowd.

This is not the first time Lokesh has grabbed headlines. He has done a foot in mouth on several occasions in the past. Earlier he was found stating that it would be suicidal for people to vote for TDP and also saying things like Andhra Pradesh was the most corrupt state. He once even referred to death anniversary as birth anniversary, in the past.

The IT minister asked the public to extend support to Kurnool MP candidate Butta Renuka and SV Mohan Reddy as MLA candidate. Speaking at an interactive meet with he women's co-operative societies in the old city here, Lokesh said Chandrababu should be credited for designing a zero-deficit budget in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is intolerant to the progress of the state, he observed.

Lokesh was furious when a few government employees asked for the abolition of CPS and re-instation of the old pension system--"Don't you know this issue is not under the purview of the state government?" he questioned.

Demanding cancellation of the first phase of counselling for medical seats, students from SC, ST and BC communities blocked minister Lokesh's convoy in front of the state government guest house here. However, Lokesh tried to evade by saying the counselling does not come under the purview of his ministry.
