Police Harassment: YSRCP Activist Attempts Suicide

A YSRCP activist in Pedapudi mandal of East Godavari district tried to end his life unable to bear the harassment by the police. The incident occurred on Monday.

According to sources, Rayudu Satyanarayana of Sahapuram village has tried to jump in the the Godavari river canal in the villae as the police were harassing him for his political affiliation. His friends and associates have said that the police were tormenting him on one pretext or the other for his political affilitation with the YSRCP.

He is said to be out of danger and is under treatment.
