Overwhelming love made me visit J&K twice in a Month: Modi - Sakshi Post

Leh, PM Narendra Modi on his maiden visit to Ladakh on Tuesday chanted "Prakash, Paryavaran and Paryatan (Power, Environment and Tourism)" mantra for Leh and Ladakh region. He said the Ladakh region would illuminate not just Jammu and Kashmir but even the whole country.

Speaking after inaugurating a hydropower project, Narendra Modi said that the BJP government was committed to the development of Leh and Ladakh. He also assured to complete all the pending projects in the state.
"Love of Jammu and Kashmir bought me here for the second time in a month" PM said. Modi added that Leh is at the focus of his government's solar initiative.

 

"I know the problems the people here face and most importantly I know the strength of this land....We have put Leh at the focus of our solar energy initiatives," Modi said while addressing the gathering after laying the foundation stone of the Rs.1,700 crore and 330-km long Leh-Srinagar transmission line here.

He added that the people would no longer have to depend on borrowed power. Modi also inaugurated another 44 MW hydro power project at Chutak village in Kargil district.
