No Buyers For Kalki 2898 AD, Pushpa 2?

Rebel Star Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa The Rule are the most-awaited films of the year. Prabhas and Allu Arjun have a huge fan following across the globe. We are hearing reports that there are no buyers for Kalki 2898 AD and Pushpa 2, though.

The makers of the two films are quoting huge rates. Rs 100 cr is what they are quoting for Overseas rights. 

And Rs 80 cr is what the makers of the two pan-Indian films are quoting for the Nizam rights. 

Buyers are not coming forward to acquire the theatrical rights. They feel that Salaar received positive reviews but the returns were not great. Pushpa: The Rise was a decent hit in the Telugu States. It didn't enter the breakeven phase in Andhra Pradesh due to low ticket prices. 

Mythri Movie Makers are quoting massive prices for Pushpa 2 from their buyers. As a result, none of them is showing keen interest to buy the rights as they are worried about returns. Likewise, there are no buyers for Prabha's movie as well.

Let’s wait and see who will acquire the rights and at what price. 

Pushpa 2 is directed by Sukumar and the film is slated to release in theatres on 15 August 2024. 

Kalki 2898 AD features Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, Big B and others. Kalki 2898 AD is set to arrive in theatres on May 9, 2024.
