Health Department Issues Rainy Season Warning
With the increase in rainfall and humidity, the Telangana Health department has cautioned people about a possible rise in seasonal illnesses.
Director of Public Health and Family Welfare Dr B Ravinder Nayak said changes in temperature and higher humidity can increase the risk of vector-borne, waterborne and airborne diseases during the rainy season.
People have been advised to take precautions against diseases such as dengue, malaria and chikungunya.
People Advised to Prevent Mosquito Breeding
The Health department has asked residents to use mosquito nets and repellents and keep doors and windows covered with screens. People have also been urged to remove stagnant water around their homes to prevent mosquito breeding.
Officials said government health facilities are prepared to manage a possible increase in seasonal disease cases. Hospitals have been equipped with special beds, IV fluids and essential medicines.
Residents have been advised to remain cautious and seek medical attention if they develop symptoms of seasonal infections.
