Telangana Govt Extends Deadline on One-time Discount on Traffic Challans to Jan 31

Hyderabad: Did you miss the deadline to avail the discount on traffic challan in Telangana? Fret not, the Telangana government has now pushed the deadline for the limited time period concession offer to January 31. The last date to pay the traffic challans on discount was supposed to end today. 

In a press release issued on Wednesday evening, the state government announced that the deadline to avail one-time discount on traffic challans has been extended till the end of this month. The government has also encouraged the vehicle owners to avail this concessional offer and clear their traffic fines. 

According to the traffic police department, a total of 3.9 lakh traffic challans issued for various traffic rules violations are pending. So far only 1.7 lakh traffic rules violators have cleared their pending challans and the  state-wide collection stands at Rs 107 crores.

Last month the state government had issued an order and appealed to the people to avail the one-time discount on challans from December 26, 2023 to January 10, 2024.
