Kerala Woman Leeba Subin Returns from Dubai for Mental Peace
A woman named Leeba Subin has returned to her hometown in Kerala from Dubai along with her family, choosing peace of mind over a fast-paced expatriate lifestyle. She shared the reasons behind her decision through a detailed post on Instagram, which has since drawn significant attention from netizens.
Leeba clarified that the move was not a sudden or impulsive decision. According to her, the family had been thinking about it for a long time and ultimately chose to prioritise mental well-being and time management. She described the relocation as a conscious step towards achieving mental peace rather than continuing with the pressures of life abroad.
She revealed that the decision was made even as the family was due to renew their family visa and house rental agreement in Dubai. However, after careful consideration and discussions with her spouse and children, they decided to move back to Kerala and settle in their own home.
Leeba explained that living in their own house in Kerala has freed them from the stress of paying high rent in Dubai. She also noted that being part of their native community has helped them reconnect with social relationships that were difficult to maintain while living overseas.
Importantly, she highlighted that the family is now able to live without the burden of loans or EMIs, allowing them to enjoy a more peaceful and financially relaxed life. She also mentioned that her child now attends an international school just ten minutes away from their home in Kerala, whereas in Dubai, the daily commute used to take nearly 90 minutes.
At the same time, Leeba acknowledged that what worked for her family may not suit everyone. She pointed out that some people may prefer the comfort and lifestyle offered abroad, and that such decisions are deeply personal.
