Trisha reveals reason for not pursuing her Bollywood career

 - Sakshi Post

Trisha Krishnan is a multi-talented actress, who has ruled the Southern film industry for nearly two decades. She also made her Bollywood debut with Khatta Meetha (2010), a comedy film, opposite Akshay Kumar but it bombed at the box-office. Priyadarshan’s directorial failed to impress the audience and this might have made Trisha change her mind about pursuing her career in Bollywood.

She sought to address the rumors that she quit Bollywood because she was not getting offers following the flop of her Hindi debut movie.

"It's not that I didn't get opportunities in Bollywood after my first Hindi film flopped," Trisha clarified.

Trisha, the leading actress of South Indian film industry, attributed the logistics as the reason for her decision to end her Bollywood career.

“I was not ready to relocate my family to Mumbai, as venturing into Bollywood would require me to make significant sacrifices in the South (film industry).” she added.

Trisha emphasized, "To go to Bollywood, you have to give up a lot of people in the South. I would have had to start my career in Bollywood all over again, which I wasn't particularly interested in at the time."

Riding on the success of her recent films including ‘Leo’ opposite Thalapathy Vijay, the actress is busy shooting for Kamal Haasan’s  'ThugLife,' and Chiranjeevi’s Telugu movie 'Vishwambhara.'
