The Only Disappointment in Dhurandhar 2 That Fans Can’t Ignore

Dhurandhar: The Revenge has emerged as a massive box office success, drawing comparisons with blockbuster sequels like Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Pushpa 2: The Rule. Since its release on March 19, the film has not only broken records but also received widespread appreciation from audiences and critics alike.

At the center of the film’s success is Ranveer Singh, who once again delivers a powerful performance. The supporting cast, including Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi, has also been widely praised for their impactful roles, adding depth and energy to the storyline.

However, despite the film’s overwhelming success, fans have pointed out one major missing element — the iconic character of ‘Rehman Dakait,’ originally portrayed by Akshaye Khanna. His absence has left a noticeable gap, especially for viewers who were captivated by his intense performance in the first installment.

In the earlier film, Rehman Dakait stood out as a fierce and unpredictable character. Akshaye Khanna’s portrayal brought a unique blend of menace and charisma, making him one of the most memorable aspects of the story. His spontaneous dance sequences and commanding screen presence became defining highlights, earning both audience admiration and critical acclaim.

Although the character meets his end in the first part, many fans had expected the sequel to revisit his story, perhaps through flashbacks or a backstory. Unfortunately, that did not happen, leaving audiences somewhat disappointed. Many believe that even a brief appearance could have elevated the sequel to an even greater level of success.

Adding to this sentiment, Saumya Tandon, who played his on-screen wife, openly shared that she deeply missed working alongside Akshaye Khanna during the sequel. She described his absence as one of the most challenging aspects of filming, reflecting how strongly his presence was felt both on and off screen.

While Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues to dominate the box office and win hearts, the missing presence of Rehman Dakait serves as a reminder of how a single powerful character can leave a lasting legacy.
