Movie ‘It Ends With Us’ Stops Filming As It Does Not Follow WGA Guidelines

The production of Blake Lively's next film 'It Ends With Us' has been stopped until the Writers Guild of America strike is over.

When production was officially stopped, the movie was about halfway through filming. In early May, filming had started in Hoboken, New Jersey.

The film's producers were unable to persuade the WGA that Wayfarer Studios' status as a co-financier indicated that the film adhered to WGA guidelines, and as a result, production was stopped.

The WGA, however, has concluded that this does not imply that the movie complies with their rules, and as a result, production has been halted until the strikes are over. According to sources, this shutdown has resulted in the loss of jobs for about 140 people.

The movie will be a negative pickup for Sony Pictures, meaning that the company has agreed upon buying the film from the producer at a particular date for a specific sum.

The film is an adaptation of Colleen Hoover's 2016 novel of the same name. The plot centres on a doomed romance between a young woman and her love interest. It is based on the relationship between the author's parents.
