5 Iconic Elon Musk Moments For The History Books - Sakshi Post

By Devraj Bollareddy,

Elon Musk has been at the forefront of engineering and technology for the past 20 years. Despite only being 50 years old, he has an extensive array of multi-billion dollar companies under his belt, from making a fortune through SpaceX and Paypal to changing the electric cars industry with the launch of Tesla, Elon Musk has had quite the noteworthy career. Today, this iconic businessman turns 51, let’s take a look at some of his most iconic moments.

His cameo in Iron Man

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has given us many memorable movie characters, you might be shocked to find out that Elon Musk is one such character. Back in 2010, Elon Musk made a tiny cameo in Iron Man 2 and although Iron Man 2 is not the most memorable movie when compared to the other movies in the MCU, at least Elon Musk had a few lines such as telling Tony Stark that he had an idea for an electric jet. Elon Musk has quite the acting experience if he ever chose to become an actor as he also made cameos in The Simpsons, Big Bang Theory and Rick and Morty.

His insane tweets that cost Tesla money

There is no denying the affinity Musk has for the social media app, Twitter. His tweets and replies sometimes really get you wondering if a fifteen-year-old has been put in charge of running the Twitter accounts of one of the world’s richest men. In 2018, when Musk tweeted about the Shortseller Enrichment Commission, a regulator that made a multi-million dollar settlement with him over alleged security fraud, it began costing Tesla money. After this incident, Tesla inventors had to go ask Musk to basically ‘shut up’ so he does not cost the company more money.

His and Grimes’ baby

The world was ecstatic for Musk and his partner Grimes when they announced that they had a baby in May 2020. However, heads were turned when the name of the baby was announced. The name of the baby is X Æ A-12 and this announcement left the masses with a lot of questions, the most asked question though, was how to even pronounce the baby’s name. According to California law, numbers cannot be used in names which led Musk to change the baby’s name to X Æ A-xii which honestly looks more confusing. Musk even joked about this in his SNL monologue saying ‘it’s pronounced cat running across keyboard’

His purchase of Twitter

I’m sure in life there have been moments where you and I have both made impulsive purchases and spent exorbitant amounts of money impulsively. Elon Musk takes this to another level, in 2022, Musk announced that he was planning to purchase Twitter for 44 billion dollars and news of the purchase came with its fair share of controversy.

Sending his car into space

No, you did not read that wrong, Elon Musk did indeed send his car into space. Back in 2018, when SpaceX launched their Falcon Heavy rocket into space, it contained a very special package on board, his car complete with a dummy spacesuit. The spacesuit dummy was apparently listening to David Bowie. It is definitely interesting to consider that the car is still somewhere out there in our solar system.
