YS Bharati Symbolises Real Service, While Chandrababu Sells Publicity: Satish Reddy

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) state general secretary Satish Reddy came down heavily on the Chandrababu Naidu-led government, alleging that it has been all about publicity with no real work done for the people.

Speaking at a media conference on Wednesday, Satish Reddy said, “The government has completely deceived people, especially pensioners. Nearly five lakh pensioners were removed from the beneficiary list, and not a single new pension has been sanctioned so far.”

He criticized the ruling TDP and its leaders for being more focused on appearances than governance. “Lokesh claims to have received 4,000 applications in four hours, as reported by yellow media. Is it just for publicity? Don’t they even bother to check if people believe them?” he asked.

Neglecting Farmers, Misleading on Jobs

Satish Reddy accused the government of abandoning farmers affected by recent cyclones. “When farmers were hit by the storm, instead of helping them, Chandrababu went to London and Lokesh flew off to watch cricket. Is this how they plan to run a government?” he questioned.

He also took a dig at the government’s job promises, stating, “They are boasting that the Google Center will generate 1.8 lakh jobs. Can they at least provide ten thousand? Even basic health services like Aarogyasri are not functioning properly. Farmers are struggling to survive — there’s no minimum support price for any crop. Tomatoes, mangoes, and onions are being dumped on roads due to poor returns.”

Huge Scam in Land Allocation To Lulu Mall

Highlighting growing dissatisfaction among various groups, Satish Reddy said, “Every section of society is angry. The government isn’t addressing employee grievances. While people suffer, Chandrababu is vacationing in London.”

He further alleged irregularities in land allocation for the Lulu Mall project, claiming, “Hundreds of crores worth of land were gifted away. Even ordinary people know there’s a huge scam behind it.”

Reddy reminded that YS Jagan had held 18 press conferences questioning the government, but none of his queries received a response. Targeting TDP leader Adinarayana Reddy, he challenged, “If he has real strength, can he win even a single ZPTC seat without the support of police?”

Double Standards and Misplaced Priorities

He also questioned the government’s silence over cricketer Sree Charini, saying, “Other state governments rewarded their players with ₹1 crore each, but why did Lokesh, who went to Mumbai to watch cricket, ignore Sree Charini’s achievements?”

Criticizing the government’s handling of recent controversies, Satish Reddy added, “They arrested Jogi Ramesh for exposing fake liquor sales and issued notices to our leader Shyamala for speaking out about the belt shop liquor that caused a bus accident. If Chandrababu has integrity, I challenge him to visit any village — I will show him where the belt shops operate.”

Satish Reddy’s fiery remarks reflect the YSRCP’s escalating criticism of the TDP government’s functioning and growing concerns over unfulfilled promises across key sectors.
