I’m Hero in Politics: Mudragada Padmanabham to Pawan Kalyan

Kakinada: Kapu crusader and former minister Mudragada Padmanabham has condemned the  social media propaganda against his political decision to join a new party. He also lashed out at Jana Sena Party and its chief Pawan Kalyan. 

Speaking to the media at Kirlampudi on Saturday morning,Mudragada said that some people are running a malicious campaign against him for joining the YSRC party. He said Kapus are not the reason for his decision to join the ruling party. 

“I have joined YSRCP without any conditions. I chose this party because I wanted to serve the people. I have also fought for the rights of Kapus and Dalits and I'll do anything to protect my people,” Mudragada told reporters here, 

Making an oblique reference to Pawan Kalyan, the senior Kapu leader said a man who has no roots in politics is now giving me lessons. Why should I listen to him when making political decisions? Who is he to tell me?

“Where was Pawan during Chandrababu's five year rule? Why didn't Pawan respond when the TDP leader insulted the Kapu community?  You can be a hero in movies but in politics, I am the hero," he remarked. 

Praising the rich political legacy of the YSR family, Mudragada said some people are questioning his decision to join the YSRCP. He said he was one of the founders of YSRCP. However, some inimical forces created distance between him and the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The Kapu leader expressed readiness to contest the upcoming assembly elections if the YSRCP high command desires.
