Chief Minister Jagan set to unveil Industrial Projects worth Rs 1072 Crores

CM Jagan to lay the foundation for a series of projects in the industries and food processing sectors

The New Projects set to generate employment opportunities to a total of 21,079 people  

Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, is set to unveil a series of groundbreaking projects in the state on Wednesday. Set against the backdrop of Industries and Commerce, as well as Food Processing, these initiatives are primed to redefine the industrial landscape of Andhra Pradesh.

With a total investment of Rs. 1,072 Crores, these projects stand as a testament to the government's unwavering commitment to spurring economic growth and development, with a particular focus on the MSME sector. These projects shall pave the way for employment for a substantial workforce comprising 21,079 people.

Under the ambit of Industries and Commerce, an investment of Rs. 670 Cr has been earmarked, with a particular focus on MSMEs. A strategic move to diversify the industrial portfolio, Industrial projects encompass the realms of Pharma, Nutraceuticals, industrial development, and flatted factory complexes, along with a Common Facility Center in the printing cluster.

Four food processing units are slated for groundbreaking and inauguration by the Chief Minister on Wednesday. Under food processing units, an investment of Rs. 402 Cr has been earmarked. The projects encompass the inauguration of an Edible Oil Refinery plant in SPSR Nellore and a Sesame Processing Unit in Vizianagaram. The Chief Minister is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the Starch Processing unit in Eluru District and the Manufacturing of RTE/RTC products with units being set up in Vizianagaram and Kurnool.

A plethora of groundbreaking projects is poised to reshape Andhra Pradesh's industrial sector.

Among these projects, the Chief Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the Kakinada Printing Cluster, an establishment by the Sri Satyadev Printing Cluster Association. Orchestrated through 250 beneficiary MSMEs, this initiative aims to generate 1000 direct employment opportunities and an additional 5000 indirect employment opportunities.

In a strategic move towards bolstering pharmaceutical infrastructure, Sigachi Industries Pvt. Ltd is slated to establish a greenfield Pharmaceuticals (API) plant with a production capacity of 72,000 MT per year. This venture, integral to the Orvakal Mega Industrial Hub in Kurnool, boasts an investment of Rs. 280 Crores and is expected to provide employment to 850 individuals, spread across 25 acres of land.

Meanwhile, RPS Industries Pvt. Ltd, renowned for its expertise in Nutraceuticals, is embarking on a greenfield project to set up a grain-based bio-ethanol manufacturing unit. This initiative, situated within the Orvakal Mega Industrial Hub in Kurnool, comes with a total investment of Rs. 90 Crores, promising job opportunities for 285 people over an expansive 11-acre landscape.

The ambitious development agenda extends further with a comprehensive slate of 17 Infrastructure Development projects spanning various districts. Cumulatively valued at Rs. 1,642 Crores, these projects are anticipated to generate employment for 16,731 individuals. Among these are 5 upgradation projects, out of which 3 in Guntur, Hindupur, and Machilipatnam are set to be inaugurated by the Chief Minister and 12 other new industrial development projects commencing across diverse districts after a scheduled groundbreaking ceremony.

The Flatted Factory Complexes (FFCs) project is set to establish 4 units across Anakapalli, Kakinada, Visakhapatnam, and Srikakulam. With an expected investment of Rs. 143 Crores, these FFCs are projected to create employment for 1,663 individuals, contributing significantly to the economic growth of the state. As the curtain rises on this array of projects, Andhra Pradesh stands at the threshold of a new industrial renaissance.
