AP Elections 2024: Manyam's Stamp of Approval for YSRCP's Return

 - Sakshi Post

The YSRCP's dominance in Manyam district shows no signs of waning. The opposition alliance appears outmatched by the ruling party's sway over the region. Across homes and streets, reverberations of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's good governance can be heard loud and clear. The YSRCP is poised to secure resounding victories in both the assembly and Lok Sabha seats in the district.

The newly carved out Parvathipuram Manyam district, comprising the Parvathipuram, Saluru, Kurupam, and Palakonda assembly constituencies, has emerged as a bastion for the YSRCP since the party's inception. In the 2014 and 2019 elections, the YSRCP registered victories in the Saluru, Kurupam, and Palakonda constituencies. Pedika Rajannadora, Pamula Pushpa Srivani, and Viswasarai Kalavathi, contesting on the party's ticket, secured assembly seats in the region.

The 2019 assembly elections saw MLA Alajangi Joga Rao emerge victorious from the Parvathipuram constituency, further solidifying the YSRCP's foothold in the region. The party's dominance extended to local body elections as well, with its candidates securing a majority of the MPP and ZPTC seats. The sarpanch candidates, too, gained an unassailable lead owing to the party's backing. The Navaratnalu welfare schemes implemented by the YSRCP have left an indelible mark on the hearts of the tribals.
