In a sharp and befitting counter to TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh, YSRCP has written an open letter explaining "Why AP Needs Jagan" for the state of Andhra Pradesh. The letter is purely based on the facts and data. In a step-by-step rebuttal, YSRCP in detail explained the welfare and progressive steps taken under CM Jagan's rule and how it differentiates from the previous Chandrababu's governance. Here is the open letter.

In 2019, when your father Chandrababu left as CM of Andhra Pradesh, the state was ranked 22nd in India in terms of GSDP growth rate. Do you know where Andhra Pradesh stands as per the last RBI report (2021-22)? Our Andhra Pradesh ranks NUMBER 1 in the country now. This is Why AP Needs Jagan! Any doubts Nara Lokesh?

In 2019, by the time your father Chandrababu Naidu left the state as CM, the per capita income of Andhra Pradesh was at the 17th position in the country. Today, under the leadership of CM YS Jagan, Andhra Pradesh is among the top 10 states in the country, the per capita income of AP ranks 9th. This is Why AP Needs Jagan!

During 5 years of your TDP Government, the total number of government jobs provided was just 34,108. YS Jagan Anna’s Government to date has provided 4,93,000 government jobs out of which 2,13,662 are permanent. This is why AP Needs Jagan!

In 2019, the agricultural sector growth of Andhra Pradesh was ranked at 27th position, second last in the country. The growth rate was NEGATIVE (-6.5%) at that time. Today, under the leadership of CM YS Jagan, Andhra Pradesh ranks 6th in the country with a growth rate of 8.2%. This marks a transformative revolution, a shot in the arm for the backbone of our economy. This is Why AP Needs Jagan!

In 2019, as per the Reserve Bank of India, during Chandrababu’s regime, the growth rate of industries in Andhra Pradesh was ranked at 22nd position in the country. Today (2021-2022), under the leadership of CM YS Jagan, Andhra Pradesh is ranked an impressive 3rd in the entire country. This is Why AP Needs Jagan!

Andhra Pradesh for the past two consecutive years has ranked NUMBER 1 in Ease Of Doing Business (2019-2020 and 2020-2021). This is Why AP Needs Jagan!

During Chandrababu's government (2014-2019), only 37,956 new MSMEs were established across the state. So far 60,000 Interactive Flat Panels, and 10,000 Smart TVs have been installed. 5.8 Lakh BYJUs tablets have been given to students. This is Why AP Needs Jagan!

Introduction of English in govt schools has been the real gamechanger. It is because of this that 10 government school students hailing from humble backgrounds were selected to represent the state at prestigious global institutions like the United Nations, World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) in September this year. Quality and affordable healthcare for all, is a cornerstone of CM YS Jagan’s Government. In order to achieve this, in the last 4 years alone, over 10,000 YSR Village Clinics, 1126 Primary Health Centres, and 524 Urban Clinics have been made ready. This is Why AP Needs Jagan!

Under the unprecedented month-long Jagananna Aarogya Suraksha Campaign - 12,056 medical camps were conducted, approximately 3.79 crore people were screened and 6.4 crore rapid tests were conducted right at people’s doorsteps - all free of cost. This is Why AP Needs Jagan!

Andhra Pradesh was the fastest state in the country to administer the first dose of vaccine. This was possible only because of the robust and unique Village/Ward Volunteer system created by CM YS Jagan’s government. This is Why AP Needs Jagan!

Since Independence (roughly 72 years), Andhra Pradesh had only 6 ports, 5 fishing harbours, and 11 medical colleges. But Under YS Jagan’s Government, in just 4 years, 4 ports, 10 new fishing harbours, 2 airports, 17 medical colleges and 3 I-T SEZs are nearing completion. And it's not just urban, under the leadership of CM YS Jagan, special emphasis was laid on Rural Infrastructure. As many as 10,778 Rythu Bharosa Kendras, 15,004 Sachivalayams, and 10,000 YSR Health Clinics have been established across the State.
