Hudhud havoc: Jagan speaks for fisher-folk - Sakshi Post

YSR Congress party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy came down heavily on the TDP government and Chandrababu Naidu for ignoring the fishermen community which was reeling under the impact of the Cyclone Hudhud.

YS Jagan took up the issue in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly on Friday. During his whirlwind tour of the Hudhud cyclone-hit areas, YS Jagan had promised them that he would raise all their problems in the Assembly.
"Chandrababu Naidu had said that the loss due to Hudhud could be nearly Rs 70,000 crores. But even one percent of the loss has not covered so far," he said.
He further said that 400 Sona boats were lost, while large number of mechanised and normal boats were either damaged or sank after cyclone Hudhud struck Vizag coast.

"The compensation announced by the Government is meager. Several leaders have not even toured their regions after the Cyclone Hudhud hit the region. Ganta Srinivasa Rao has not even paid a visit to his constituency. When asked, the people in his constituency said Ganta was down with fever," the YSRCP chief said.
