One such actor is Malayalam hunk Dulquer Salmaan, the son of famous Malayalam actor Mamootty. In an Interview with a news channel, Sindhu disclosed her liking for this favourite actor. Putting aside the entire list of Telugu actors, the 2016 Rio Olympic silver medallist took the Malayalam actor's name. She is one of the two Indian badminton players to ever win an Olympic medal for the country.

Sindhu, who is currently world number 3 in the BWF World Ranking, also said that her favourite Kollywood actor is Thala Ajith. She is currently gearing up for her next Badminton Championship at 2018 Common Wealth Games in Australia.
