AP Going Through Tough Times: YSRCP

YSRCP MLAs Ravindranath Reddy and Srikanth Reddy - Sakshi Post

Kadapa: YSR Congress Party MLA G Srikanth Reddy recalled former Chief Minister late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy's rule and said that during YSR's reign timely loan waivers was the lifeline for the farmers. On the contrary, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was not supporting the farmers with giving them minimum support price (MSP) for their produce he said and alleged AP CM was only into development of his Heritage company.

Talking to the media here today, the YSRCP MLA said the state was going through tough times. He said that Chandrababu was not bothered about the plight of the farmers who were plagued by fake seeds and exploitation by the middlemen. "To protect the interests of his Heritage, Chandrababu had struck a lethal blow at agriculture and animal husbandry in the state." Srikanth Reddy questioned the role of agriculture minister Somireddi Chandramohan Reddy and his attitude towards the farmers.

Another YSRCP MLA Ravindranath Reddy observed that the present TDP government was clearly anti-farmer and was not concerned about providing MSP to the agricultural produce. He blamed the government for the farmers' suicide and promised that after YS Jagan becoming the CM, farmers would be given all their due. Even the plant insurance was not reaching the farmers because the state was not contributing its share for insurance, he added.
