Hyderabad: Cyberabad police registered a case against Rajahmundry Lok Sabha MP and TDP Leader Murali Mohan. On Wednesday evening, Rs 2 crores were seized at the Hi-Tec city railway station and in this regard, police registered a case against Murali Mohan and five others according to Cyberabad police commissioner Sajjanar. While of the accused are in police custody, Murali Mohan and others are absconding, according to the police FIR.

Addressing the media on Thursday, Sajjanar observed that during the course of conducting searches at the time of the ongoing election, special teams were formed. One such team saw Nimmaloori Srihari and Pandari moving in hi-tec city railway station in suspicious circumstances and when their bag was searched, it revealed an amount of Rs 2 crores. Upon inquiry, it was established that the two employees of Jayabheri Jaganmohan and Dharmaraju had given this money to them. They were told that Yalamacnhili Murali Krishna and Murali Mohan were waiting for this money in Rajahmundry. The culprits were all set to carry the money to Secunderabad station and board the Garib Rath train to Rajahmundry. After learning of these details, a case was registered upon six individuals under IPC section 171 (B) (C) (E) (F).

This money, it is learnt was intended for the use of Murali Mohan’s daughter-in-law Rupa who is in the electoral fray and the culprits were reportedly carrying the money to Rajahmundry.
