East Godavari TDP Legal Cell Vice President Resigns From Party

Kakinada:In another blow to the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), the Legal Cell Vice President of the TDP , Medapati Rama Reddy resigned from his post and from the party membership today.

Speaking to reporters from his office, he said that the way the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu responded to the murderous attack on the Leader of the opposition and YSRCP Party Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was appalling and a man with more that forty years of political experience behaving in such a callous way belies his experience ,he said.

"He should have condemned the attack and ordered for an impartial enquiry and upheld his dignity as the Chief Minister of the State. I feel upset and this kind of behaviour is not acceptable according to my principles and hence I have resigned from the post and the party", he said. He also said that he had lost faith in the party and he had joined the party only out of affection for Late NT Rama Rao, but Chandrababu's actions and also the way the ministers are behaving is something he could not accept." I am not resigning to join any party but the way the entire party and senior members are running the party is something I am not liking " he clarified.

He also thanked the party leadership for the opportunity given to him but with the senior party leaders trading cheap insults at the opposition , indifference to the enquiry on YS Jagan's attack, trying to gain political mileage for everything and the entire system of the party functioning degrading are the reasons why he was quitting the party, he said.
