Ahead of Assembly sessions, Call Money racket worries TDP - Sakshi Post

A worried TDP is bracing up for the winter session of AP Assembly with the Opposition YSRCP determined to corner it on the Call Money Scam. The government is in a spot of bother after the involvement of TDP leaders came to light and the National Human Rights Commission has taken a serious view of this.

Several Call Money racket accused are TDP workers and their links to some MLAs and MLCs has come to light. The government's attempt to send Vijayawada Commissioner of Police Gowtham Sawang, who is probing the case, to go on leave haas also backfired. Under pressure from the Opposition, the Commissioner was asked to cancel his leave and continue the probe. Chandrababu held meetings with his ministerial colleagues on how to face the Opposition onslaught.
The government did some damage control by cancelling Sawang's leave and is likely to announce a judicial probe on the Call Money racket to offset an Opposition attack.
