YS Jagan Thanks Party Leaders For Delhi Agitation - Sakshi Post

Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSR Congress Party Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has tweeted appreciating the efforts of party ranks as well as CPI, CPM and AAP leaders who participated in yesterday’s Mahadharna at Delhi’s Sansad Marg. He has also mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the tweet, hoping consideration to grant the Special Category Status (SCS) for Andhra Pradesh.

“ I thank all our MPs,MLAs important leaders & cadre who participated in taking our struggle for APSCS to Delhi. I also thank leaders & cadre of CPI, CPM & AAP who joined our dharna. I sincerely hope Narendra Modi ji takes our concerns to consideration and grants us SCS, our right,” read his tweet.

Earlier in the day, the YSRCP MPs had staged a protest at the main entrance of the Parliament. Holding placards, the MPs raised slogans of "Special Status AP's Right". Rajya Sabha member Vijaya Sai Reddy, MPs Mekapati Raja Mohan Reddy, YV Subba Reddy, Vara Prasad and Mithun Reddy, were among those who participated in the protest.

Yesterday, the YSRCP leaders staged an agitation at Delhi's Sansad Marg, demanding Special Category Status (SCS) for Andhra Pradesh. The Delhi Police arrested the leaders while they were on their way towards Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh's office to hand over a memorandum seeking the SCS for AP.

The party MPs have already announced their plans to take the fight for the SCS in the Parliament and also move a no-confidence motion against the Centre on March 21. "If the Centre fails to respond even then, our Parliamentarians will resign," said the party leaders.

If the Centre does not come up with a solution on SCS for AP before April 5, YSRCP MPs will resign the next day, April 6.
