YS Jagan Promises Free Treatment And Improved Medical Facilities For Dhone Constituency

Bethamcherla (Kurnool): Leader of Opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy promised free treatment and improved medical facilities for the people of Dhone constituency.
Addressing a public meeting here on Tuesday as part of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra, YS Jagan said that the Aarogyasri programme which catered to the medical needs of the people was completely ruined by the present TDP regime. The aarogyasri programme brought the 108 ambulance system and the 104 service to provide medicines to the poor and needy, he said and added that both the schemes are gathering dust. He promised free surgery to patients suffering from kidney, heart and neurological ailments. "Patients suffering from kidney ailments will be provided with Rs 10,000 pension by the YSRCP government," YS Jagan assured the people at the public meeting.

Do Not Re-elect Chandrababu
YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy advised the people of Bethamcherla against re-electing N Chandrababu Naidu. He said re-electing Chandrababu would undermine democratic values and is an insult to the word "trust". The four-year governance of the TDP is filled with lies, deceit and scams, he said.

The Leader of the Opposition strongly recommended a change in the electoral system in which people should take an active part. "Only a change in the system will root out corrupt politicians such as Chandrababu Naidu who has been deceiving people with false promises," YS Jagan said. "People are aware of the promises made by the TDP leader in 2014. Please recollect how many of those promises were fulfilled. The CM might be happy like a movie villain that he can get away with any wrong-doing. He has to remember that at the end of the film, it is the hero who will win despite face odds through out the story," YS Jagan said.
Addressing a massive turnout of people in Bethamcherla, he expressed his gratitude to them for gathering in such huge numbers without caring for the scorching temperatures.

Plight Of Dhone Constituency In YS Jagan's Words
"The Dhone constituency is known for stone polishing and cutting. Each stone polishing unit can provide employment to 25 people. However, Chandrababu Naidu dealt a death blow to these units by hiking the electricity charges arbitrarily. During the regime of late YS Rajasekhara Reddy, the cost of per unit electricity was Rs 3.75. This was hiked to Rs 8 by the present chief minister. Similarly, sewerage charges were hiked from Rs 18 to Rs 55. How will the units and those dependent on them survive? Most of the stone unit employees are from weaker sections of the society. Doesn't the CM think about the poor people before hiking the charges? How can he compare the state with Singapore and Japan when the basic needs of the people are not fulfilled?

Not a single acre of land is under cultivation in Dhone constituency. Reason? There is no water. Compare this with the regime of late YSR. Water was supplied to Dhone through pipelines especially laid from Gajuladinne. All those policies and schemes to provide water to Dhone are now gathering dust due to the policies of the TDP.
The state government does not have a policy to provide minimum support price to farmers. The onion growers in this region are not getting the cost of cultivation. There are no cold storage units for tomato farmers while millet farmers are forced to sell their produce at throwaway prices. This is the plight of farmers in Dhone," the YSRCP president highlighted during his address to the people.
