Uttam Kumar Reddy Meets Chandrababu To Finalise Seat Sharing

New Delhi: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy met AP Chief Minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu in AP Bhavan in New Delhi to discuss and finalise the poll alliance and seat-sharing issues in Telangana which is going to polls on December 9.
The TDP, Congress, CPI and Prof. M Kodandaram’s Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) which have formed Grand Alliance (Maha Kutami) to take on the ruling TRS in Telangana, are currently facing difference of opinion regarding seat-sharing. TTDP chief L Ramana was also present during the discussions with the Congress.
As part of the seat sharing CPI will get 5 seats, TJS will get 8 seats, TDP(T) to get 15 seats and Congress will contest in 91 seats is what has been finalized but there is no official confirmation as yet from either parties. Both Chandrababu and Uttam refused to talk to the media after the meeting.
Rumours are afoot that the TDP was seeking seats in the city of Hyderabad as they felt that had a better hold due to settlers living there, but the Congress also felt the same.
The leaders are still uncertain as to whom to field in the seats of Kukatpally, Serlingampally, Patancheru, LB Nagar and Quthbullapur seats . It is known that Maganti Gopinath won the Jubilee Hills constituency from the TDP and later joined the TRS. Congress is demanding that the seat be allotted to P Vishnu Vardhan Reddy. There is still ambiguity left about these urban seats allocation and discussions might continue later about them. It is learnt that senior leaders from CPI Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy, D Raja and Narayana also met Chandrababu to discuss seat sharing in Telangana.
