Telangana, AP To Reel Under Intense Heatwave, Mercury To Soar Upto 52°C

Hyderabad: Heatwave conditions are likely to prevail in all the districts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for the next four days.

ISRO and IMD have alerted the people in East Godavari to take necessary precautions to beat for the next four days, said the district collector Karthikeya Mishra. The temperature is going to sizzle 52 degree Celsius in few places like Amalapuram, Katrenikona and Kothapally.

Heat wave conditions in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh

In Telangana, heatwaves were reported from Adilabad, Nalgonda, Khammam, Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Warangal. Nalgonda district continues to top the temperature chart. The district recorded 46.2 degrees on Saturday, followed by Badrachalam at 45.4 whereas in Andhra Pradesh heatwave conditions prevailed at a few places in the districts of Krishna, Prakasam and Nellore.

The severe heatwave warning will continue till May 23 for Andhra Pradesh and May 25 for Telangana. On Saturday Hyderabad recorded 42.2 degrees. The temperatures will be high till May 25.
