Swank Nizampet Colonies Now Turn into Vast Lakes

Bandari Layout in Nizampet, which shimmered in its swank glory till a few days ago, is now a veritable water world. For the fourth day running, the Layour stands marooned and thigh deep water is not allowing the residents to move out.

* Cellars in most apartments in the Nizampet area are marooned and even transformers are under water. As a result, the power supply to these colonies has been cut off, forcing pepole to live without power.

* The kids are not getting their regular supply of milk and vegetables.

* The colony denizens are worried about the reports that the Nizampet Lake may be breached to allow the water to flow out. If that happens, the water level in the colonies can rise further.

* A large number of families of the area have already locked their homes and left for safer places.
