November 14 Holiday in Hyderabad: Only Jubilee Hills Declared Local Holiday

 - Sakshi Post

The District Collector, Hyderabad, has declared that November 14, 2025, shall be a local holiday in the offices and institutions situated within the Jubilee Hills constituency, where counting of votes for the bye-election would be held. It is not a general holiday in Hyderabad or Telangana; the exemption extends to areas actively involved in election activities.

Paid Holiday for offices near counting centres

A paid holiday has been declared for government departments and private establishments located close to polling and counting centres in Jubilee Hills, according to an official notification. It will help the counting process to go smoothly and orderly, lessen congestion locally, and enable the administration to carry out election-related duties.

Schools and Colleges to Function Normally

The district authorities have clarified that schools and colleges in Hyderabad and the rest of Telangana will remain open on November 14. Only a handful of institutions that are being used as counting centres within the Jubilee Hills area will remain closed for the day.

Not a Statewide Holiday

Officials emphasized that the holiday is restricted to Jubilee Hills and should not be considered a statewide declaration. Employees and students outside this constituency are required to attend work and classes as usual.

Citizens are advised to confirm with their respective offices or educational institutions whether the holiday applies to them. The administration has urged the public to cooperate with local authorities to ensure a peaceful and efficient counting process.
