Mumbai Metro Lines 2A and 7 Route Map

To ease the commuter congestion in the famous Mumbai local trains which are the lifeline of the people in one of the busiest capitals in the country, two Metro lines have come for the Mumbaikers in 2023. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated the Mumbai Metro lines 2A and 7, which is a 35-km long elevated corridor stretching from Andheri to Dahisars, built at the cost of around Rs 12,600 crore.

Metro line 2A

The metro line 2A will connect Dahisar E and DN Nagar (yellow line). It is around 18.6 Km long. The route will have a total of 17 stations including Andheri (West), Pahadi Goregaon, Lower Malad, Malad (West), Eksar, Mandapeshwar, Kandarpada, Upper Dahisar and Dahisar (East), Lower Oshiwara, Oshiwara, Goregaon (West), Valnai, Dahanukarwadi, Kandivali (West), Pahadi Eksar, Borivali (West).

Metro line 7

Metro line 7 will connect Andheri E and Dahisar E (red line). The line covers a distance of nearly 16.5 km. It will have a total of 13 stations including Gundavali, Mogra, Jogeshwari (East), Goregaon (East), Aarey, Dindoshi, Kurar, Akurli, Poisar, Magathane, Devipada, RashtriyaUdyan, and Ovaripada.

For commuters to travel the  MUMBAI 1 Mobile App and National Common Mobility Card (Mumbai 1) were launched to facilitate ease of travel. The app can be shown on the entry gates of Metro Stations and one can purchase tickets through (UPI) digital payment mode.

National Common Mobility Card (Mumbai 1)

The National Common Mobility Card (Mumbai 1) will initially be used in metro corridors and can be extended to other modes of mass public transit including local trains and buses as well.

Apart from dedicating the Mumbai Metro Rail Lines 2A & 7, the Prime Minister inaugurated, dedicated, and laid the foundation stone of multiple development initiatives in Mumbai, initiated the transfer of approved loans of over one lakh beneficiaries under PM SVAnidhi Yojana,laying the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and seven sewage treatment plants, inaugurating 20 Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Aapla Dawakhana, and starting road concretization project for around 400 kilometres of roads in Mumbai.
