Hyderabad to Face 36-Hour Water Supply Disruption on March 7 and 8

Residents in several areas of Hyderabad will face a 36-hour disruption in drinking water supply from the morning of March 7 to the evening of March 8. The shutdown has been announced by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board as part of essential maintenance work.

According to officials, the disruption is necessary to replace old high-tension electrical panels and carry out repair work at the Manjira Phase-III Peddapur pumping station. The facility plays a crucial role in supplying drinking water to many parts of the city.

The water supply will be stopped from around 8 a.m. on March 7 and is expected to resume by 8 p.m. on March 8 after the maintenance work is completed.

Several localities are likely to experience either low pressure or no water supply during this period. Areas such as Manikonda, Kokapet, Narsingi, and Manchirevula are among those expected to be affected.

Authorities have advised residents to store adequate drinking water in advance and use it carefully until the normal supply is restored.
