Samantha Praises Fahadh's 'Aavesham', Hints at Malayalam Debut?
Tollywood actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has expressed her admiration for the Malayalam blockbuster 'Aavesham,' starring Fahadh Faasil. Through an Instagram story, she shared her delight, revealing that she was in a 'hangover' after watching the film.
The Jithu Madhavan-directed movie has been a box office sensation in Kerala, outperforming even the highly anticipated 'Varshangalkku Shesham' by Vineeth Sreenivasan. Despite facing stiff competition, 'Aavesham' has emerged as a resounding success, maintaining strong numbers even after 10 days of its release.
While Samantha has yet to make her debut in Malayalam cinema, she has consistently demonstrated her appreciation for the industry and its productions. Although she has not starred in a Malayalam film yet, her family roots are deeply connected to Kerala, as she is half Malayali on her mother's side.
Speculation about Samantha's potential venture into Malayalam cinema has been rife, especially after she was spotted in Kerala for an ad shoot alongside the legendary Mammootty. However, her primary focus currently remains on Tamil and Telugu movies.
Samantha's upcoming project is the highly anticipated 'Citadel: Honey Bunny,' an OTT series directed by Raj-DK, where she stars opposite Varun Dhawan. This series serves as a spin-off of Amazon Prime's 'Citadel,' which featured Priyanka Chopra. Samantha has previously collaborated with Raj-DK on the successful 'Family Man Season 2.'
Additionally, rumors suggest that Samantha might be the lead actress in an upcoming film directed by Atlee, starring Allu Arjun. She has previously worked with Atlee in two movies alongside Thalapathy Vijay: 'Theri' and 'Mersal.'
