Here's Why Samyuktha Menon Found it Tough To Act in Telugu Films

 - Sakshi Post

Mollywood actress Samyuktha Menon made her Telugu industry debut with 'Bheemla Nayak' in 2022. After delivering a hat-trick of hits in Tollywood, the actress shocked fans when she revealed that she found adapting to the Telugu industry challenging. Samyuktha revealed that she found it tough not because of the language barrier but due to makeup requirements.

In a recent interview, Samyuktha explained that she found the makeup aspect of Telugu films challenging. She said that in Malayalam movies, the makeup is very close to natural, allowing her more freedom. In Telugu acting, grooming, and being conscious of on-screen appearance are essential, opposite her comfort zone.

Samyuktha mentioned that she would only allow her costume crew member to interrupt her while memorizing lines and doing shots. The actress shared her experience of shooting scenes in a saree, where the draper would swiftly adjust the pleats and makeup if they weren't perfect. She contrasted this with her Malayalam film experiences, where she could be makeup-free with her hair down.

"I'm taking a deep breath, feeling prepared, memorizing my lines. I'm all set for the scene. Then, my saree draper rushes over, fixing the pleats. It wasn't simple. I might sound very silly but I struggled to focus on acting, feeling uneasy about something on my skin. I was accustomed to a makeup-free, natural look in Malayalam films," she explained.

Despite the challenges, Samyuktha has numerous films lined up in both Malayalam and Telugu. In Malayalam, she will star in 'Ram' alongside Mohanlal, directed by Jeethu Joseph. In Telugu, she is gearing up to shoot for a period action film called 'Swayambhu' by Bharat Krishnamachari, where she will share the screen with Nikhil Siddhartha and Nabha Natesh. She is also starring in a comedy-drama directed by Ram Abbaraju, alongside Sharwanand.
