Colleen Hoover Defends ‘It Ends With Us’ Cast

 - Sakshi Post

The author of "It Ends With Us," Colleen Hoover, is overjoyed with how the movie adaptation is coming along despite criticism from certain fans. As soon as she saw the footage, she expressed her pleasure and even broke into tears on the set. The bestselling book follows Lily Bloom, played by Blake Lively, as she enters an abusive relationship with Ryle Kincaid, a surgeon played by Justin Baldoni.

Fans criticised Blake Lively's outfits online when they saw her on set wearing unusual attire. Hoover, on the other hand, welcomed the social media criticism because she saw it as indication of how committed her fans were. She stressed that the emphasis should be on the conversation and the plot, which carries over to the film, and emphasised that she did not completely describe the characters' attire in the book.

Although some fans demanded a "legit" redhead, Hoover defended her choice of Blake Lively as the lead. After expressing her affection for Lively, she became amazed when the actress agreed to play the part. Hoover didn't let herself become too thrilled until the filming was completed, though, and she continued to be cautiously optimistic.

In response to readers' worries about the film's raising of the characters' ages, Hoover clarified that the original plan was to write in the new adult genre with college-age characters. However, she admitted to making an error in portraying the characters' professions accurately, leading to the need to adjust their ages for the film adaptation.

Colleen Hoover is unfazed by any criticism or unfavourable comments and is firm in her belief that people will be thrilled with the outcome. Although the film's production had a temporary setback as a result of the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike, she kept fans patiently waiting.
