Jolt to Jana Sena as Two Key Leaders Join YSRCP

 - Sakshi Post

Guntur: In a major setback to Jana Sena Party (JSP) ahead of 2024 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, two of its leaders quit the party on Wednesday. The two leaders who quit the Pawan Kalyan-led party are Pasupuleti Sandeep and Padmavati.

YSRCP leader Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy welcomed these leaders into the party fold by offering them party scarves. Sandeep was Jana Sena party headquarter incharge while Padmavati served as an incharge for Rayalaseema region.

Both the leaders were reportedly unhappy with Rukmini Kota, the power center of Jana Sena party. Criticising the Jana Sena leadership, Sandeep said he left the party because Pawan Kalyan is ignoring his own party and working for Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP.

He also said Rukmini Kota is calling the shots in the party and the party chief is trusting her blindly which led to the departure of many members from the party. He also claimed that Jana Sena gets party donations through hawala transactions and senior leader Nadendla Manohar is responsible for converting black money into white through hawala network.

Padmavati said she joined politics by taking inspiration from her matinee idol Chiranjeevi. She said she has been supporting Jana Sena since 2014.

“Women are not getting due respect in the Jana Sena party. Nadendla Manohar is not helping the women members grow in the party. Women are being mistreated because Pawan Kalyan is not looking into the party affairs,” Padmavati said.
