Amit Shah's Reply Puts Naidu's Pre-poll Alliance Ambitions in Limbo

 - Sakshi Post

New Delhi: Amid the speculations of Chandrababu Naidu entering the pre-poll alliance with the BJP in the ensuing Andhra Pradesh elections, the Union Home Minister has made some interesting comments.

Addressing media persons in the national capital on Saturday, Amit Shah spoke about the poll pacts with the political parties in several states ahead of General elections. The saffron party is going solo in the BJP-ruled states, however, it is seeking the support of trustworthy allies to expand its footprint in the southern states.

When asked about the likelihood of the national party’s alliance in Andhra Pradesh, the senior BJP leader hinted that at the moment nothing can be said about it. This response may be disappointing for Naidu and Co. A few days ago, the TDP leader waited hours to meet Amit Shah in New Delhi seeking to patch up the strained relationship with the national party. After the meeting, the TDP was hopeful of speeding up deliberations with the BJP, however, the national party does not seem to be in a hurry.
