Fake News Against Harish Rao, Seeks Police Action

Detractors of the ruling TRS party are running fake news campaign on the internet, where they are resorting to false propaganda against Irrigation Minister and senior TRS leader Harish Rao. The fake news carried a morphed image and indicated that the minister is quitting the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) to join BJP. The Minister has sought the help of police to take action against the impostors involved in the campaign.
Condemning the malicious campaign against him, Harish Rao requested DGP M Mahendar Reddy to initiate criminal action against the impostors responsible for spreading fake news over social media.
"People with political motives are spreading rumours about me quitting TRS. My loyalties remain with TRS and its President K Chandrasekhar Rao. I affirm that my political life would end with the party,” the minister said.
“Despite repeated clarifications, the social media campaigners are trying to continue to create a rift in the party and hence he has decided not to respond to such baseless rumours,” he added.
