Venkatagiri TDP MLA Caught On Tape Threatening Employee About Postal Ballots

Venkatagiri, Nellore: TDP MLA from Venkatagiri constituency in Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore district, Kurugondla Ramakrishna has landed in a fresh controversy. This time around, he threatened and abused a bay food technical assistant (BFTA) on Thursday morning in a phone conversation that has now gone viral.

The MLA is heard abusing the employee, V. Ramakrishna in the first sentence itself questioning him on postal ballots. The employee is heard pleading saying the MLA got it all wrong. But the legislator does not let up and continues his tirade. The MLA is heard threatening the small-time employee, claiming that the next government would be theirs (TDP).

Meanwhile, Suryanarayana President of Andhra Pradesh Government Employees Association has condemned the remarks of the MLA and has demanded that he apologize to the employee in question. He said that because of Chandrababu Naidu and his criticism of the Chief Secretary and AP Chief Electoral Officer, his party men got emboldened and were behaving with unbridled arrogance.

Suryanarayana also blamed employees unions which toed the line of the TDP government for the past five years.

The Venkatagiri TDP MLA is not new to controversies. He had earlier, abused officials exerting pressure on them to give pensions to Saidapuram TDP leaders in a video which had gone viral.

Employee unions met the chief electoral officer and complained to him in this regard.
