Rs 2 Lakh Crore Scam Underway In Amaravati: GVL
Vijayawada: Official spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) GVL Narasimha Rao lambasted Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for turning Amaravati into a colourful dream. Calling the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) a "Thega Dochese Prabhuthvam," he alleged that Chandrababu was planning to use the Amaravati capital region to fund the TDP leaders.
Addressing media after attending a program here today, he said that scandals worth thousands of crores were behind the Amaravati land deals. He alleged that crores of rupees were sidelined in the pretext of temporary buildings. The TDP is utilizing Amaravati as its business centre, he added.
Recalling AP finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu's dental treatment worth lakhs of rupees in Singapore, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother was being treated in a government hospital. "How could the government allow the Singapore consortium to sell off the 1,070 acres out of the 1,690 acres of lands for residential flats? Why did the government give away lands worth Rs 16,000 crore in return for Rs 306 crore investment?" he asked.
Stating that PM Modi was aware of the land mafia, he predicted that Amaravati would be host to Rs 2 lakh crore worth corruption in the coming days. Chandrababu turned Amaravati into a bank for black money similar to the Swiss bank, he criticized.
