Do You Know Who I Am?: TDP Worker Questions Traffic Constable

Chittoor: A Telugu Desam Party (TDP) worker became the talk of the town for threatening two police constables in Gangavaram mandal in the district here on Thursday. The police were compelled to file a case on the TDP worker after the incident went viral in a video on social media platforms. The incident occurred when local policemen Parameshwar and Shiva were carrying out a road safety awareness drive on the Palamaneru-Madanapalli Highway here on Thursday.

During the awareness drive, the police asked TDP worker Manjunath Reddy of Bommarajupalli village in Peddapanjani mandal in the district to stop by for an interaction on road safety. The TDP member was riding a bicycle wearing a helmet at the time. When the police asked him to stop by for a minute, he threatened the police asking them if they knew who he was.

After the locals failed to convince him and make him stop the verbal attack, the police themselves shot the incident in a video. Asked about the incident, CI Srinivas said a case has been filed against the TDP worker.
